Snapshots

Snapshots are frozen graphs that reflect an Aqueduct project at a specific moment of capture. You can:

• Restore a project from an older snapshot.
• Duplicate a snapshot into a new project.
• Make a snapshot public and share its permanent link.

Saving snapshots

Aqueduct adds an automatic snapshot during editing when at least five minutes have passed since the last automatic snapshot and the graph has changed.

To create a manual save point, open Snapshot History and select Save graph snapshot. You can enter a name in its Snapshot History row. A snapshot is an immutable copy of the complete graph at that time.

The Graph Snapshot page shows the frozen graph in the editor. You can change parameters and resolution to explore the graph, but those changes are not saved. This page contains the publication controls.

Material snapshot

The Material Snapshot is a simplified, more aesthetically pleasing view of the material for sharing or showcasing.

It shows the material in 3D, its graph outputs, and a 2D output inspector. Its Actions menu can download the outputs, open the Graph Snapshot, or duplicate the snapshot into a new project.

Making a snapshot public

In Snapshot History, open the snapshot menu and select View graph snapshot. Turn on Publicly accessible, then select Copy link. Anyone with the link can view the snapshot. Turning the toggle off makes it private again.
